Community - Conversion of Winstanley Community Centre into a Family Centre
Refurbishment/Repurposing of the former Winstanley Community Centre. Works include full internal and external renovation to create four spacious family meeting rooms, a new kitchen and laundry area for staff, toilets for staff and families as well as a reception and staff offices, as well as a thermal upgrade of the roof and external works.
Residential area - the community centre is located at the end of a cul-de-sac in a residential area, management of the site required a considerate approach, regular community liaison and communication with neighbouring residents and a robust traffic management plan
Roof adaptions – required to incorporate roof lights and improve the energy performance of the building
Adaptation of Externals - alteration of externals including retaining wall, rear garden space, children’s play area and car park as well as associated S278 works
