PENNINE HOUSE
← Student Living Residential - Conversion of Office Building into Student Accommodation

Conversion and refurbishment of a four-storey former council/DWP office building into 47-bed student accommodation. The project included two mansard roof extensions whilst the main building was fully occupied, creating nine new bedrooms and a new reception area, with three critical handover deadlines met.
Structural alterations - the addition of two rooftop extensions involved significant structural alterations and temporary works
Constrained site - works delivered adjacent to occupied student accommodation in a busy town centre location with limited access. Required robust logistics and traffic management plans
Critical deadlines - achieved enabling students to move in at the start of the educational year
Segregation - strict H&S and logistics strategy required to safely segregate phased works
Access/egress - defined building access routes for operatives and material movement to eliminate any interface with students
