Scope Construction is delighted to announce that today we broke ground after two years of hard work on this fantastic new facility coming to Leicester.
We will be working with Mosaic 1898, helping them to make a bigger difference by reaching out to disabled families in Leicestershire. The project, a new hub in Whetstone, will repurpose the former Baptist Church, bringing it back into community use, whilst supporting the important services that Mosaic 1898 provide.
Mosaic 1898 is a Leicestershire-based charity that provides life-enhancing services, care and opportunities for disabled people (and all those supporting them), promoting inclusion, equality, independence, choice, empowerment, respect and dignity for all.
3 projects in 1:
The Manse: Refurbishing an existing house to provide much-needed respite/support for Leicestershire families and caregivers.
The Community Centre: Will be brought back to life with accessible and disability-friendly spaces including a sensory room and therapy room to provide life-enhancing care.
The Chapel: Will be restored into a multi-use space for the whole community work has begun and will be complete by Autumn 2024.
